Any
Central Floridian will always remember the 2004 Hurricane Season.
Most of us were affected in one way or another, either by electrical
outages, structural damage, or even flooding.
In November 2004, Ring of
Fire visited the Orlando area for some fun in the sun. While in
town, they chose to participate in some community service. The
kids were mostly interested in helping out hurricane victims since,
being from the Northwest, many of them had never seen the damage
that hurricanes can leave behind. As it happened, a member of The
Magic of Bronze was in need of some assistance to replace a
fence that Hurricane Charley had destroyed. So, the members of Ring
of Fire helped Andrea and her neighbor with the necessary
repair.
This was a fantastic learning
experience for these young people! Not only did they learn
about the Floridian climate and creatures (they loved the
"geckos"), they had the opportunity to experience the
pleasure of helping out others. As we all know, doing good
for others brings joy to our lives and puts music in our hearts!
